Afforestation

This picture shows about that the monkey is drinking Thums up. We have never seen this joy full moment before it. My father captured this picture in his mobile while visiting to Ramappa, which is located in Warangal district. The monkey appeared drinking Thums up in the forest. What is the reason o f monkey drinking Thums up in the forest. Since people cut the trees, monkeys don’t have sufficient food and come to shops, villages , fields and parks for food like water bottles, sweets and cool drinks. Actually monkeys eat fruits but now a days they are eating food drinking Thums up etc.. because lack of trees in the forest it means deforestation in the country. K. Chandra shekar Rao, the latent chief minister of telagana launched Haritha Haram Program for reforestation. In this program GOVT officials, Private officials people participated and planted no of plants in the Telagana state. Get rid of cutting trees – live lively. Plant at least 2 or 3 plants at your home, give bright future for new generation. In our country farmers struggle about rain because it does not rain at the exact time due to deforestation. A tree can produce a million matches, a match can devastate a million trees in the forest. As a human being must take an onus for afforestation and avoid deforestation in the country. The preservation of forests is the first responsibility of the people.

Meet Raju – The Humble Farmer

This is Raju, a resident of Kalleda village.  He toils in the fields every day. He removes the weeds that might otherwise destroy his crops. He knows that excessive use of pesticides can cause immense damage, but there are times when the weeds cannot be controlled and he has to resort to their use. In such cases he utilises them sparingly.  It is a hard life and he can rest only once the crop is harvested.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

A visit to the milk centre at Thirumalgiri was an eye-opener for the students of Class 8, RDF School, Kalleda. For children in rural areas, livestock is a common sight and many farmers raise cattle and earn a livelihood.  However, the trip was to gain an understanding of the modern methods of livestock breeding and increased milk production.  After all, a healthy cow produces more milk and lives longer.

The farm specialists at the Centre showed them around the unit where they saw the Holstein and Jersey breeds.  They compared the milk production and made note of the feed and care that was given to the animals. The trip to the dairy farm was both educational and fun for the students.
